Inspire curiosity. Connect ideas. Shape the future of learning.
The Glennie School is seeking an innovative and future-focused Teacher Librarian to join our learning community.
Glennie is a Prep to Year 12 Anglican girls’ boarding and day school, empowering each girl to be All She Can Be. At Glennie, our library is a place where curiosity is encouraged, ideas are explored, and a lifelong love of learning is nurtured.
We are looking for an educator who sees the contemporary library as a vibrant hub for reading, research, inquiry, collaboration, and innovation, and who can foster a love of literature while helping students develop the skills to think critically, navigate information, and engage confidently with an increasingly complex digital world.
Working collaboratively across Prep to Year 12, the Teacher Librarian will play an important role in strengthening a culture of curiosity, deep thinking, and intellectual engagement across the School.
Depending on experience, qualifications, and areas of expertise, there may also be an opportunity to undertake a teaching role within the School.
The successful candidate will:
champion a strong culture of reading, literature, and intellectual curiosity
collaborate with teachers to enrich curriculum, inquiry, and research
build students’ research, information, and digital literacy skills
support students to critically evaluate information, navigate misinformation, and engage thoughtfully with AI-generated content
contribute to the School’s strategic approach to artificial intelligence, academic integrity, and ethical scholarship
work alongside teachers to explore purposeful, creative, and responsible uses of AI in teaching and learning
connect students with authors, researchers, universities, and other sources of expertise
lead the ongoing development of contemporary library programs, resources, and spaces
Join The Glennie School to inspire young women to embrace learning with enthusiasm, lead lives of good character, and make a meaningful difference in the world.
