About the Role:
Reporting to the Business Manager, the Facilities Manager fulfils a hands-on role, as well as providing high-quality strategic planning and management of the School’s property, maintenance and ground requirements. The Facilities Manager is responsible for actively leading, managing and providing direction to the School’s Maintenance Team and for coordinating the use of third-party contractors in delivering maintenance and property needs.

About you:
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a similar role, have lead and managed a team of people, and have a good understanding of building codes and regulations.
You will need to have:
A trade, engineering, construction or similar qualification and/or experience in these fields;
Previous project management experience;
Highly skilled people management capability;
Well-developed business management skills including administration, organisation and negotiation skills;
Extensive knowledge of work health and safety legislation and best practice;
Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure projects are completed fully, to a high standard and on time;
Ability to coordinate a range of trades and facilities professionals ensuring a high level of workmanship and service;
The ability to build quality relationships with stakeholders quickly;
Working with Children Check (blue card);
Current Drivers Licence - Open class; and
Maintain a degree of flexibility in working hours from time to time as required for the position.
