The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing an exceptional education for Kindergarten to Year 12 students with boarding from Year 5. The School is currently recruiting for a Director of Students to be responsible for the overall development and delivery of the School’s Wellbeing Framework, pastoral care systems, and the management of student behavioural development.
Reporting directly to the Acting Principal, the Director of Students provides both proactive and responsive support for student wellbeing, leading the design and implementation of a whole-school strategy that is evidence-based, sequential, and aligned with the School’s strategic plan.
You will:
Mentor and lead pastoral teams, building capacity and capability, promoting collaboration, and creating a culture of continuous improvement in student support practices
Lead the Heads of Year middle leaders in the development and implementation of the Wellbeing Curriculum within the School’s Wellbeing Framework in order to foster connection, belonging and student growth
Inspire students and staff to live our School’s Anglican values through prayer, liturgy, service, and social justice initiatives, bringing the Glennie story and Anglican ethos to life
Oversee the School’s student leadership programs, ensuring meaningful opportunities for voice, decision-making, and service leadership across all year levels
Build strong partnerships with families, staff, and the broader School community to promote shared responsibility, proactive support, and holistic care for students.
You will have:
Tertiary or higher qualifications in education or teaching
The proven ability to operate as a Senior Leader and collaborate with our Senior Leadership Team
An innovative approach to creating a positive culture in the school
Experience leading teams and developing others
Knowledge of current trends in education and in particular in girls’ education
QCT current registration
