The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication, and professionalism of its staff.About the role:Reporting to the Sport Centre Team Leaders, we are seeking to appoint several School-based Trainees to complete their Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics and Recreation traineeship.School-based Trainees will work alongside Sports Centre Attendants, Learn to Swim Instructors and Learn to Swim Assistants, as well as being supported by the traineeship provider and the School's VET teacher. Trainees are enthusiastic team members, and are keen to assist with children to develop swimming and water safety, and assist with indoor sporting activities.The trainee's responsibilities include:assisting with swimming and water safety lessonssetting up and packing away all swimming aids and equipmentassisting to maintain a clean and tidy centreassisting with indoor sporting activities and events held in the Sports Centresetting up and packing away equipment and furniture in the Sports Centreassisting with reception dutiescompleting all theory and practical components of the Certificate III course. Swimming classes are held in our indoor heated pools. Our swim programs are suited to infants up to adults of all ages and abilities, and continue all year round.A number of sporting organisations use our modern indoor Sports Centre for a variety of sporting activities, events, and trainings, all year round.Rates of Pay: $12.64 per hour (minimum) based on your current school year level.Trainees who successfully complete their traineeship may be offered continuing work.
